"Cricket" is a sweet black filly with a cream gene which means she can produce buckskin and palomino in the future.  Cricket is sired by a buckskin leopard appaloosa and is out of a palomino former show mare that is a grand-daughter of Little Kings Buck Echo.  I expect cricket to mature under 32" fully grown.

At Bops Miniatures, we believe that the broodmares are equally as important, if not more so, than having nice stallions.  The mares at Bops Miniatures have been hand selected to complement my stallions.

Bloodlines are not the most imortant thing in my program but I do, however, have horses with good bloodlines - focusing on buckeroo and Nighthawk/Rowdy.

The most important thing I look for in a broodmare is conformation.  I look for a good length in neck, a pretty head with expressive eyes, straight legs and a perfect bite.

My horses range in size, starting at only 29"!  I breed for (most important) - conformation and then a great personality, versatility, bloodlines and COLOR!  I have decided to focus on breeding for blue eyes and the cream gene.

If you have any questions about the mares here at Bops Miniatures, or would like to come out and see them, please give me a call.  I love to show off our girls!

The exceptions....

My Dark eyed girls.

Although I have decided to focus my program on the cream gene and blue eyes, I still have these two mares.  I sold the rest to great homes that did not fit into my program any longer, but I just couldnt let these two girls go.  They are very special to me and I love them, even though they carry neither blue eyes or a cream gene.  Will consider selling to the right home!

Please allow me to introduce two of my favorite girls... Roxy & Fancy.

My Cream Gene Girls:

Little Pegasus Sweet Vidalia

"Vi" is a gorgeous mare that Bop's Miniatures is pleased to own.  She is built like a tank and is absolutely stunning.  These pictures are straight out of the pasture and do not do her justice.  Vi has a beautiful head with gorgeous hazel color expressive eyes.  She has a short back,. long neck, very straight legs, a perfect bite and a great personality.  Vi was purchased to add to my broodmare string but I may end up taking her to a show or two!  I can't wait to see how this mare does in the future as a broodmare and/or show horse.

Little PegasusBillys HollyGoLightly

2009 Silver Bay Mare

AMHA/AMHR  -  32"

Holly is a gorgeous, refined mare by National Grand Champion - LM Hawks Billy the kid - a son of Champion Farms Nighthawk.  Holly is also a full sister to my newest stallion - "Doc".  Holly is a rich Silver bay color with a silver/white mane and tail, a blaze and two sky blue eyes.  Unfortunately, Holly was injured as a youngster so she cannot be shown, but I have no doubt she would have done well with her gorgeous head, nice neck, refined body, straight legs and a perfect bite.  I look forward to seeing what Holly produces here at Bops Miniatures.  Holly will be bred in 2014 for her first foal in 2015.

Liza is a refined bay mare that is a half sister to Holly and Doc.  She is sired by the same sire - Billy the Kid and her Grandsire is Nighthawk.  Liza is very leggy and has crystal blue eyes.  Her other Grandsire - Freedom Hill Farms Executive Flair - is a National top ten Halter and Single Pleasure Driving horse and a Reserve National Champion Open Country Pleasure driving horse.  Liza had her first foal in 2013 and had no problems and was an excellent mother.  Liza is open for 2014 but will be bred in the early spring of 2014 for a 2015 foal.
